My approach as a therapist

Hi, I’m Nicola, a trauma counsellor and EMDR therapist. I work with adults navigating trauma, PTSD, and the impact of overwhelming or difficult experiences, using a mind‑body, relational, integrative approach.

I draw on somatic awareness, parts work, EMDR, and trauma‑focused ACT to support regulation, processing, and integration at a pace that feels manageable.

Alongside my trauma training, I’m also training in grief work — understanding how loss, change, and attachment wounds can shape the way distress shows up in the body and mind. This helps me hold the wider emotional landscape that often accompanies trauma and PTSD.

I aim to offer a space where your experiences can be met with steadiness and curiosity — a place where your body’s responses, emotions, and inner parts can be understood rather than judged. These areas of learning allow me to offer a trauma‑aware, mind‑body, relational space where your experiences can be worked with safely.

My qualifications

If you have any questions about working together, or feel ready to book a session, you’re welcome to get in touch.
